14 Sweet Years

14 Years ago today, my now husband asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend! I remember that day like it was only yesterday. We had been out dancing, which was what we did most every weekend at a teen dance club in the town that I lived in. Brien went to school, and lived in another town which is the town we now reside. He came to my house and we were watching movies. On the couch he kissed me and asked, "So are we b/f and g/f or what? Someone asked me yesterday if we were going out and I told 'em I didn't know."
I giggled and said, "Well, if you want to, that is cool with me."
The long lasting relationship began right then and there, although we'd been sort of dating before then. It was just made official on March 12. From then on, for the first year we dated on the 12th of each month, I got a red rose for each month we were together...one on the first, two on the second and so on. He was so sweet back then. He STILL is. I love him with all of my heart and he's such a wonderful husband. He never ceases to amaze me at his greatness. He's stuck by my side through thick and thin and I am so proud to say that he's my best friend in life as well as my husband! I love you, Brien. Happy "Dating" Anniversary. :)

What a romantic man you have there even at the very young age of ... gee, what age were you?? That's the kind of love I've spent my whole life looking for and never finding. I am SO glad that it's out there and that there are wonderful people like yourself and your husband who share it.

It gives me renewed hope!

Linda, I was fifteen! :)
I've never looked back since. He was the love of my life then and still is to this day. I don't regret a moment with him. I am just so lucky to have found the man of my dreams at such a young age.

Sweet indeed! Wow. At 15 I was such a different person than today. I can't imagine having married my then-boyfriend. It really is nice to see that sometimes puppy love...isn't just puppy love. It's full blown knock your socks off love.
