Dixie Chicks

Those Dixie Chicks...they swept the Grammy's huh? Whaddya think about 'em? I think that their old stuff was good. But, they got too bit for their britches as we say in the south. That Natalie just gets under my skin! I think she's kinda cocky and has a big mouth. But, I guess what I think doesn't amount to a hill of beans, right!? Those Chicks are Grammy winners!! (photo courtesy of Reuters) Grammy's tonight included: Album of the year, Record of the year, Song of the Year, and Country Album.

I don't like them either. I had heard a few months ago that they were considering breaking up because of Natalie and all the stuff she was starting. I read that their sells are way down and it actually surprised me that they won. But I don't even like them enough to steal their music online :)

I like their music but I can't support them. I will refuse to buy anything Dixie Chicks for principal. Freedom of speech yes but when and where is important. As far as big for the britches. Yes Perfect wording. I have their old stuff from before and thats enough for me.

I have never been able to "get into" this group even though they have done a couple of songs that I liked.

It's my own humble opinion that if you're popular enough to have some possible influence on people then you should do it responsibly and I don't think that Natalie does that at all.

And how they managed to win so many Grammys is totally beyond me; I thought they had disappeared into the woodwork!

I like their music. But that girl is WAY to full of herself!

I respect freedom of speech and think everyone has the right to it even if I don't agree. However, I lost all respect for them when they voiced their opinion in another country where the majority of the crowd was anti-bush. If they had said what they did on US Soil to their country fans then I would have respected them more so. It is easy to be a follower and add your voice to popular opinion. It takes real balls and a backbone to stand up for what you believe in when you are surrounded by people who disagree.

Whew!
