Saturday:
I didn't get in until after midnight on Friday night. I think it was closer to one when I got to bed. Shelby woke me up around 7:45. We got up and watched Dora. Then we got bathed and dressed and headed to Jacksonville. We picked up Mandy and Katie and headed to the Little Rock Zoo. It ended up being in the 80s and it was SO nice out! It actually got pretty warm. We all had red faces by the time we got back to the truck. We took the wagon, but there ended up being so many people that Mandy took it back to the truck. The girls walked. I didn't think poor Katie was going to make it out of the zoo! On the way out she was saying she was hot, tired, and her feet and legs hurt. heh heh
Funny things that happened:
-This one male chimp was throwing things, which everyone thought was so funny. He scoped us out and grabbed a clump of dirt/mud and threw it at us. Katie was ready to go after that.
-We watched a mommy and baby chimp grooming and hugging.
-We then watched a chimp picking his eye boogers and boogers in his nose and eating them. Both girls thought that was pretty funny. I took some cute pics but haven't uploaded them yet so when I do I'll try to post them.
-We all got too tired and didn't make it to the tigers and lions. That zoo is so crazy trying to find your way around, though until it's hard to realize which way you've already been and need to go. Ah well...we still had fun.
