Friday night:
Keith Urban concert-AWESOME! My lil' sis and I had a nice time. We didn't have the greatest seats possible, but I didn't hear about the concert until three days before so it wasn't too disappointing. It was a good show. He is a hottie and he seemed like a pretty cool guy. He is a great guitar player, too. He was the lead guitar player in his band. He's a bit of a rocker too! : ) That was cool.
Katrina Elam opened the show for him. She did a great job. She's a cutie with a songbird of a voice. It was an enjoyment to have her open for him.
Funny things that happened:
-Some drunk ladies sat near us. They were quite comical to watch. They'd brought their own mtn dew bottles in and man we could smell them from where we sat! They had whiskey in them. They must've snuck them in 'cause the place is in a dry county, so they didn't serve liquor.
-This probably isn't funny, just strange. This chick was taking pictures with her digital camera and two cops and security came and called her to where we were and were asking her all kinds of questions about it being a video camera. They were apparently not allowed! Well, they made her show them the images that she'd captured and prove that there was no video. Crazy! They told her that they would be watching her and they would confiscate it if she took video. She was pissed. They sure enough sent an old lady security officer to stand near her and watch her the whole time. She ended up leaving early. I don't imagine that she will attend another event there.
-On the way home, Mandy and I took a wrong turn. I sped around a guy in a pick up pulling a trailor (I'm pretty sure in a no passing zone). Directly there were bluelights in my rear view! We quickly put on our seatbelts. He asked us where we were going and if I knew the speed limit. I said 55? He laughed. We told him we were trying to get home from a concert in Jonesboro and were headed to Searcy. He said you're going the wrong way. We told him that we'd just turned around from going the right way. We all had a good laugh. We thanked him for stopping us and giving us directions. He told us to turn around and head in the right direction and be safe. No ticket!! Whew!
