Irwin plays Kirra who leaves her Australian home to vacation for the summer with her father, played by Beau Bridges in South Africa. Kirra discovers a baby orca who has become stranded in the lagoon near her grandfather's run down amusement park. She takes it upon herself to return the whale who she names Willy to his pod in order to keep a rival theme park owner from using him as an attraction in his park.

My daughter is a huge Bindi Irwin fan. She wants a career working with animals, just like Bindi. She would absolutely love this movie.
