Finders Keepers!

This is the reason that Mom's don't complain too much about doing laundry.

In this haul I made $20.63.

Stimulate Our Home Improvement

We got "the letter" in the mail. Some of you have probably already received such letter followed by this wonderful "gift" from our fabulous government. We're due to get our stimulus payment on or around the 18th of this month. We're getting back a whopping $1800. Now there are all sorts of things that we could do with this check to stimulate the economy, I'm sure. Our $1800 would probably make some retailers go wild. But, being as we're expecting our third child and we really don't have a "bedroom" to put her in we are more than likely going to use this check to remodel our home. We have an extra room now. It is currently being used as an office. There is no door to this room, it is directly off the hallway by the front door and there is no closet. For now we'll put the baby there but the plans are to turn the garage (which currently holds a bunch of junk) into a room for her. This will be very near to our bedroom which will work out perfectly. The trouble is that I just have to get hubby motivated. His current track record for home improvements isn't so great. We still have an incomplete master bedroom and bathroom two years later!

Money for a four year old!

Well, I may have to get a cash advance from my four year old. It seems that she and her father have had a deal for the past several weeks that he'll double her money for her if she can keep up with it from week to week. They started out with two five dollar bills. She wants to save up to buy her a bicycle. She's got $100 now. Dad gave her more than she should've gotten one week b/c he didn't have change. She has more than enough to buy that bicycle now. So, she'll be excited to go pick one out. She said she wants one with a bag or a basket on the front of it. She did try her luck last night, though. She asked Dad if it was time to turn her money in for more and he reminded her that the deal was over. She smiled and said, "Oh, okay I forgot." I don't deny that this child belongs to me! Way to go, girlfriend...a gal's gotta try!
