Great White Hunters

The weather is cooling off, the leaves are changing. Fall is upon us! Most folks start thinking about Thanksgiving feasts, Fall Festivals, Hayrides, Weenie Roasts, etc. Around here, our fellas start thinking of deer hunting!  Tyler got his first bow this year.  He was all smiles when he and Brien went outside to practice his draw and shoot at the target.  It was great father/son time and an awesome opportunity of course for me to get some pictures of the two of them together.

very cool.
Friends of mine are Elk Hunters, and we went to a "shooting range" once. I did pretty well with the targets...and came home with a ten inch bruise on the inside of my arm. smile.

You're braver than I am! I'd faint if my kids picked up a bow and arrow from the sheer fear they'd hurt themselves or each other. See what city living does to you?

Hubby has always wanted to go Elk hunting. Never been, though.

Heh, Dayngr...Southern boys are bred to hunt and fish. It's in their DNA! ;)
