Looking at the Sky on Friday
On The Road Again... |
It has been a whole week since I have posted here. My poor blog seems to be as neglected as so many other aspects of my life these days. Life just seems to be moving at such a fast pace and I seem to have no time for anything that takes more than a couple of minutes. This is the first time I've had to sit down at a computer (not doing work) in over a week! Last week there was a death in the family resulting in 17 hours of driving to attend the funeral. The upside to that was visiting with family that I rarely see. This photo was taken as we were leaving Houston on Tuesday afternoon. The trip was bitter sweet and I found myself a bit emotional when I had to leave the family that I had been so close to as a child. Life is short and nothing is guaranteed. I realized this week that if there is something in your life that you are putting off, no matter what it is you should do it now. You are not promised tomorrow. THAT is a guarantee!

Nice shot of the sky. Sorry about the circumstances.
It's sad that it takes a funeral to bring people together.
Indeed Anna! Thanks so much for your kind words and for playing along! Have a great weekend!

Sorry to learn of your recent loss. Losing a family member or anyone else you love has a way of upsetting our "balance" for quite a while. All the best while your emotions heal.
nice shot of the sky while you're on the road! i have a similar shot like that here in our place!
sorry about that but you're right that we're not promised tomorrow so whatever you can do today do it now! say i love you, show you care and visit your old folks, friends and relatives. God Bless!
I was sorry to read on Facebook about your loss,
Tisha. I know how hard it is to get back to feeling "normal" when a family member passes away.
I also saw the photo of the new baby boy ~ how sweet and how tiny! My kids were so much bigger when they finally decided to be born (both were really late) I guess I should have commented at the time..
I know what you mean about neglecting one's blog. I've been doing the same, and am trying to get better at taking the time.
I'm very sorry to hear about your family's loss.
I'm sorry for your loss. I can truly relate to being emotional when it comes to leaving your family. I get that way every time I have to leave Ohio to head back to Missouri.
Thanks to everyone for your kind words! It means so much. :)

Thanks, Dragonz. But, the "helicopter" is actually a crack in my windshield! *LOL*
