Conversations With Emily Grace

Sour Faced Emily! |
Last night as she was lying in bed, I heard her begin to call out softly, "Mommy". I didn't respond thinking that she would eventually drift off to sleep. We had already had story time and night-night lovies so she was ready for sleep. She called out a few times more. I got up and headed to her room when I heard her loudly yell, "Tisha...I'm talkin' to you!!!".
I just couldn't help but laugh. When I got in there she said she just wanted to show me that her baby was asleep. I told her that she needed to go to sleep also and she did just that!

How cute!
You're smart to write down the cute things your children say..I have some good ones that I wrote down, that I otherwise would not remember all these years later.
I love the sourpuss look too!
haha - sounds like she's heard her daddy say that. :)
Well mommy didn't work so she had to resort to calling you Tisha. Bwahahahahaha.
I wonder where you got the term 'lovies'? I like it.
Have a terrific day. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)
Patti, the only place it is written is here...I need to get a hard copy of this. I've been saying for a while now that I want to do some sort of blog to print book for each kid so that they can have some of these posts to treasure should anything ever happen here. You just never know.
Becca,
Surely Not!!! *LOL*
She did, and it couldn't have made her sound more grown up!
We have always used "lovies" around our house. It's a common thing. I catch myself telling Brien to come give me lovies even if the kids aren't around. *LOL*
aweeee that is precious and funny all in one!!! She's growing up way to fast!! I sure wished she would warm up to me....it would prob help if i saw her more often!! LOL I love u lots!!!

bwahahaha... Kids can be so funny...
Oh that made me laugh.
Guess she knows how to get your attention!
:)
OMG! That would have me on the floor laughing, but then it would encourage her to do it again. I do just love how they think. She probably figured you didn't realize you were THE Mommy she was hollering for. Like there was another in the house that night, right?
TOO Stinkin' Cute!!!! Can't wait to read more conversations with Emily!
