Conversations With Emily Grace

Sour Faced Emily!

My little Emily Grace turned two on the 2nd of September. It is so funny to be able to have conversations with her. She's been such a blessing in our lives. I'll never forget what a surprise it was to find out that we were expecting our third child. When we brought her home, it was quite a change from the norm to get back into a routine with a little baby while my other not so baby girl started Kindergarten. It was a hard transition, but I wouldn't trade it for anything! Emily is such a joy to our family!

Last night as she was lying in bed, I heard her begin to call out softly, "Mommy". I didn't respond thinking that she would eventually drift off to sleep. We had already had story time and night-night lovies so she was ready for sleep. She called out a few times more. I got up and headed to her room when I heard her loudly yell, "Tisha...I'm talkin' to you!!!".

I just couldn't help but laugh. When I got in there she said she just wanted to show me that her baby was asleep. I told her that she needed to go to sleep also and she did just that!

I've been saying for a while now that I want to do some sort of blog to print book for each kid so that they can have some of these posts to treasure should anything ever happen here. We have always used "lovies" around our house. It's a common thing. I catch myself telling Brien to come give me lovies even if the kids aren't around. *LOL*; 1:52 PM
