A Penny Saved is a Penny Earned

The following post is brought to you by the friendly folks at Billy.com, The Web's Smartest Savings Club.

PhotobucketI have three kids, two dogs, two frogs, and a husband.  The thought of moving us and all of our "stuff" just makes me a nervous wreck.  I have never hired professional movers for our moves but I think that it would have added years to my life!  I have learned a few things over the years, although I haven't moved a lot in my life compared to some, I have moved enough to know that there are a few tried and true tips that can help make your move smoother.   Whether you're using one of those Tucson moving companies or just a truck and trailer there are lots of things you can do to ensure a successful, stress-free (well, less stressed at least!) move.

Pack up those non-essential items as far in advance as you can.  Photo albums, wall decorations, etc that you can live without for a couple of weeks can be safely stored in boxes to keep you from having to pack everything last minute as the moving truck is on it's way!  This is also a great time to go through your things and throw away what you don't need.  This is best done before the move so you're not moving unnecessary items and you can start fresh in your new home!   According to UHAUL moving tips you should also move during the week when businesses such as bank, utility companies, etc are open.

If you're moving, I'll say a prayer for you! I hope that some of these tips have helped you and can save you some time.
