A Band-Aid Can Fix Anything

YIKES!  This is the front of my van.  It has a boo-boo, so we had to put some Sponge Bob Band-Aids on it to help it heal.  My husband suggested duct tape, but the kids and I thought that since this van hauls around such precious cargo that we should most definitely take better care of it than to put yucky duct tape!

Last Thursday, I was meeting my best friend for a Karaoke girl's night out.  The lady in front of me stopped and unfortunately I didn't do so in time.  So, my front bumper kissed the hitch on the back of her pick up truck.  It was one of those "Oh crap!" moments where you wish you could just rewind life a few seconds and pay attention to what you are doing.

Thankfully, the lady I hit was very nice and patient even though she was obviously on her way home from work.  She was so nice to me.  The first thing she asked when I got out was, "are you okay?".  You never know what to expect when you are in an accident.  Is the person going to jump out and scream at you?  Thankfully she was understanding AND her vehicle was not harmed.  I was unsure if I had to call the police in this case.  I finally got in touch with my agent just as the officer pulled on the scene.  She informed me that we did not have to have a police report.  Thank goodness because he informed me that if he wrote a report that he would have to write me a ticket.  That was an easy decision!  I guess they are serious about not wanting to have to do that paperwork aren't they?!?!

I did not let this ruin my night.  I still had a fun time singing Karaoke with my best friend and her Mom.  You can follow this link if you're so inclined to see me singing Reba McEntire's The Night The Lights Went Out in Georgia.  It is the MySpace page of the DJ.

I'm listening to you sing as I type. At least you stayed and had a good time.

I had to laugh over the band aids though. That was a nice touch. I'm glad that there weren't any police report involved. The most important thing was no one got hurt.

Have a terrific day. Big hug. :)

It's a bummer when things like that happen. Glad no-one was hurt though and you didn't get a ticket.

I just watched the video - you've got a great voice m'deario!

So happy that you weren't hurt or anyone else that may have been in the van. Personally, I love the bandaids!
