Looking @ The Sky on Friday

Photobucket

This is a shot looking right out my front door. We have had snow and sleet this week. Yes, in Arkansas! It's been an odd week to say the least with our weather patterns! We had a snow day on Monday and the kids (and myself) got an extra day of vacation. They enjoyed themselves, while took pictures and got cold! Tonight, temperatures are supposed to be around 11 with wind chill factors below zero! My thoughts are, if it's this darned cold here in the South...what are you folks up north experiencing?!?!

As an Arkansan, it is COLD. If we feel the chill, it does't matter where we are. 11° is a seriously winter temp anywhere (It is going to be 28° in New Orleans, far too nippy on the Gulf). It will be 25-30 tomorrow, about as cold Tomorrow night up here as you have down there. At least we aren't living in Minnesota or Canada...

Wow, it's really cold. Got some family in Indiana who say it's very, very cold. This has been a big storm that's affecting places it usually misses. I hope it warms up soon.

Hope Emily if feeling better.

Have a terrific day. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)

The earth is surrounded by surprises! Enjoy the cold while you can as summer can be as unpredictable as winter.

It's turned cold here, and windy, but very clear. My photo this week is a result of those conditions. It looks wet there! But 11 makes for very dry snow!

Yey I'm glad your comment section is one again.

Lovely shot of the tree. Does it still snows in your area, we still have some everyday.

Happy Sky Watching, take care!

The weather really has been weird, hasn't it? We've had some cold, but the last few days it's gotten into the 20s - and only about 12° at night. So, that's not bad - and we've got a lot more snow than you!

From a distance, it looks beautiful (if too cold for me). Hard to think about Global Warming with current weather conditions folks like you are experiencing. Of course here in So Cal at the beach we've no snow ... just beautiful sunrises, mild days, and gorgeous sunsets ;-)
Hugs and blessings,

we're in the tropics so there's no over here but it was quite cold (not too cold though) today.

my first entry for this year is up. :-) Happy new year!

It's been really cold here and windy (wind chill factor) but then a couple of days in the 30s (warmer). Snow (i inch) this morning...Can't believe it's so cold in Arkansas - and Florida is in the 40s, I've heard! :)

Amazing that it is so chilly in Arkansas.

Today's snow seems to be tapering off. Schools are on a 90-minute delay. Hope the roads aren't too slippery when I venture out. Brrrr...

Have a fun weekend. Hope it warms up for you.

It's cold as can be where I am but at least there's no snow. Nice picture, though!

It has been extremely cold here. Today and tomorrow, we are supposed to have a HIGH of barely above zero and strong wind gusts resulting in dangerous wind chill temperatures.
YUCK

That's not snow - we have 2 feet of the stuff! ;-)

Seriously, I didn't realise you got weather like that down there.

Crazy weather patterns. It does look pretty.

Now if only your warmer winters would come north...you can keep the snow. ;-)

Gee, are you sure that's not a shot from my front door in April?? It looks vaguely familiar!
