Your Mother's Calling

If you call someone after 10pm, it's probably a good idea to make sure you're dialing the right number.  It is equally important if you are calling someone, like your daughter for instance to tell them that you are in the hospital. My phone rang at 10:15 and a lady who claimed to be my mother said she was in the hospital.  I was confused a bit because it didn't sound like my mom, but she was calling from the hospital number and she said it wasn't a joke, she was my mom.  Finally she paused and said, "Angela?"  I was relieved and then a bit perterbed.  I hope that her next attempt to reach her daughter was a success.

I hate those late night calls.
but I like them better when they are the wrong number... Glad it wasn't your mother!!

It's remarkable how careless people are sometimes. Once a guy called my aunt and, thinking he had reached a bank, left a message on her machine with his detailed account information. Hey, fella, banks don't use answering machines to screen their calls!

Yikes. Perhaps she was too medicated. Just saying. I too hate these types of calls.

Late night calls are awful, but I imagine it was bad for the daughter waiting for the call!
