Sunday Morning Conversation

This morning, I was sleeping very peacefully when suddenly I was awakened by a tiny finger nudging me in the side.  I rolled to the right where my 3 year old was standing with a dismayed look upon his face.  I let out a sigh as he began to have conversation with his very sleepy, uninterested mommy (that's me):

Tyler:  Mommy, there is something in my nose.

Me:  Okay, son.  It'll be okay.

Tyler:  No, mommy it's something very big I can feel it.

Me:  Oh, okay son.  It'll be okay.

Tyler:  It is a very big booger.  I can feel it.  I think I need you to get it out for me.

Me:  Okay son, but this will first require coffee!

Yup, tha'ts how a Mommy starts off her day...coffee and boogers.  Who needs Special K or Cheerios, I ask?  Too bad my son is too young to worry about the fact that he has no medical life insurance 'cause his Mommy was not thrilled to be awakened so early.

Book fodder. The joys of the everyday life of a mother. That's what this stuff is! I envy your life!

Well, he couldn't get it out so you were the most logical person. I can see that. Bwahahahahaha. I so remember these times. Enjoy them, they don't last very long at all.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)

Wondering if you were able to get it out, Tisha.
I hope all went well.

Sounds like it would have been a good time to say "your dad is better at this." haha. :)

Too funny! I like Becca's take on this one. Tell hubby that he gets the booger calls from now on!
One day, when he's about 15 and you're telling his pals/girlfriend this story, you'll get your payback!

That's such an adorable picture. And the conversation... oh my goodness, I think I would have had to get coffee first too. So, did you get it out? LOL

Oh the wonderful things we have to do as mommies! I'm SO glad he didn't dig it out though, better to be poked with a clean finger in the morning and request for help with that one instead of opening your eyes to a booger on that finger! EWW! His eyes are SO blue in this picture!!
