Just A Quick Question

How often do you clean your ceiling fans? I've had this debate with a male relative and he informed me that a woman, no matter how much she works or how many children she has to take care of should keep the ceiling fans clean in her home. This should be a weekly task. This is NOT a weekly task in my home. Suffice it to say it's probably not even a monthly task. My question to you is how many inches of dust are on your ceiling fans? *wink*

I never clean them. We don't have any ceiling fans. When we lived in the last house I'd clean them about once a year. Not very often at all. :)

Uhm, can I plead the fifth on this?? I can't even remember the last time I cleaned the darned things and you DON'T want to know how much dust is stuck to them - especially the one in the kitchen! Oh, that's right, I cleaned it last year right before the Christmas get-together I had here because I didn't want people looking at it and going "EW!!!!"

we have a wood stove and I vacuum mine everytime I vacuum that room. Only because sometimes you get those little webs.

Well..give that guy an award for Cromaganan Man of the Week!

And, well, I clean my ceiling fans pretty much never! I've never even really thought about it (although I am now. Thanks a lot! LOL)

To be honest, now that I have a cleaning service, they get cleaned every other week. Before the service? Whenever I bothered to look up!

Men are afraid of things that in any way could endanger their dangly bits. It's sad how this makes them useless for so many things.

We cleaned our fan in the kitchen this summer. I think it's doing really well if I get to them once a year. Where does your male relative live that it would need to be done weekly? Maybe a dog kennel?

Hmmm. My husband is taller than I am so if he happens to notice that it is dusty he tells me and then I tell him to clean them. So, in other words no, we do not clean them weekly or monthly, definitely randomly...
