"I want you both to shut your mouths and eat your dinner!!!"
Yup, I said it. I actually said it. Then I quietly turned as I cleared my plate from the table and closed my eyes hoping that my 5 year old wasn't old enough to catch the silliness that just came out of my mouth. Thank goodness she wasn't. It will come in due time, though I just know it.What have you caught yourself saying to your kids that you wish that you could take back as quickly as you said it?

And just wait until they're teens. Yuck. You won't be able to say anything w/o the deepest scrutiny. Do you read the cartoon, "Zits?" I laugh my head off...

I've always been partial to: "Wake up. It's time to go to bed."
Gee, there are probably too many to remember at this point as I say so many stupid things and have done so since the beginning of motherhood. If I could actually remember them, I could probably write a book but alas, I can't remember what I had for lunch today. Hmmm, did I have lunch today at all??
Someday when you are a parent you will understand. Or well when you are in your own house you can do that but while here you are under our rules. I always swore I would never say those. Doh!
my daughter would have said but how if I have to keep my mouth closed lol
My little brother and I were such smart allecks back in the day, we'd never have let you get away with that one. Right away he would have said, how can we eat with our mouths shut? And I would have just stopped eating. Its a wonder our parents survived!
;-)

Yes, this just happens. We are human and this just happens from time to time. You are so funny. Bwahahahahaha. :)
That would be such a long list...
Let's go with the one in which I yell at the top of my lungs, "Stop that blasted yelling!"
Parenthood is really weird.
Oh boy! I guess the answer would be: too many times!....
