Did you ever PEE on your head?!

I have a two year old son. This little fella keeps me on my toes to say the least! Last night he'd been outside with his father helping do some yard work. He came inside and of course he was dirty and sweaty. He refused to take a bath. He wanted his dad to give him a bath. Dad was getting in the shower. This boy HATES a shower. The water coming from atop his head creeps him out. In fact if you're showering he'll stand outside the shower encouraging you to "close your eyes and your mouth so the water won't hurt you". The only way I could "convince" (I don't like to use the word bribe) him to bathe was to let him take a bath with his rock. Yup, he'd found a white rock outside and this rock went straight in the bath with him. I had to get "the rock" it's own wash cloth and everything!

The bathing commenced and I went to gather his clothes. When I came back into the bathroom, I was surprised to see my son doing something I'm told that most boys do at some point or another in their life. After he'd been bathed, mind you, I walked in to find my son peeing on his own head. Yes, my friends he was laying in the bathtub pointing the little fella up toward his head and just peeing away on his own head!
Immediatly I screamed "WHAT ARE YOU DOING???"
He said, very nonchalantly, "I'm peeing, Mommy".
"ON YOUR HEAD???"
He then informed me that he needed to pee and thought it was funny to pee on his head!

This meant, of course that I had to rebathe this kid because I couldn't fathom the thought of sending him to school the next day and the teacher holding him in her lap wondering why his hair reaked of urine!!

I told my husband this story and he chuckled saying that he remembered doing the same thing as a young boy. Okay, whatever! That is just weird!

After he and the rock got out of the bath, I was drying him off. The rock had gone first, he thought it would be fun to throw the rock up into the air. That would have been fine had the ceiling fan not been on. The rock took a nice little trip across the living room onto one wall and then onto another and buzzing right past Mr Peehead Sr (dad) onto the floor. He thought this was very funny and attempted to try it again before Mr Rock was retrieved by mom and then hidden for the rest of the evening.

*sigh*

Oh, my word. I don't know. The shower on your head will hurt you, but pee on your head is fine. Well, he's just two, but sometimes I think testosterone neutralizes brain cells or something.

Thanks for the laugh!

So what you're saying is that this whole "peeing on your head" is a male ritual that they all participate in at some point in their life?

Oh good Lord ...

Woman, you are going to need an extra set of hands for this boy! And a boxcar full of patience!

We've had the ceiling fan test done a few times and the husband even tried it once or twice...cut from the same cloth!
Can't say we've had the peeing on his head yet...definitely not looking forward to THAT!

Okay I had to ask my boys as I do not recall them doing anything like that, and they agree they did not. so, maybe your husband and son are a little goofier than mine? Mine have quirks though let me tell you.

The embedded comments worked perfectly here for me, Tisha.

"Mr. Peehead Senior" cracked me up. Men just have a different way of thinking about urinating, and Peehead Junior picked that up pretty quick!

Have a good night!

Very funny - Miracle Boy is going on 2, and he's a bundle of fun as well...
Wow! 40 days to go - just a little incubating to do, and you're done...
