Weekend Update With Photos

I was so glad I remembered my memory stick for my camera this weekend. I got some marvelous photos of the venue where my family reunion was held. Unfortunately due to the fact that I'm with child, I was unable to partake in the joys of such venue, but it was a great place nonetheless. The reunion was at The Crown Valley Winery in Farmington, Missouri. This majestic place is nothing less than breath taking. It's lush vineyards are visible from just about any angle of the facilities and the panoramic views of the country side are magnificent!

Our reunion was held in the Barrel Room. The decor of The Barrel Room is truly one-of-a-kind featuring oak wine barrel walls, an antique country flavor displayed throughout the room, with chandeliers and Spanish moss hanging from the ceiling. This is the part where I was glad I had my camera, memory card and all. I got some great shots of this wonderful place and a few family members to boot. It was a great time overall.

Traveling with a 5 year old and a 2.5 year old wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. On the way there it was late afternoon so they were both tired and they watched television and played with their new Leapsters...see a few posts down. On the way back, Shelby was a gem, but Tyler got restless pretty quickly. He's not the sitting still type of boy at all! Overall we had a nice time. But, it was so rushed to get there and back that it seemed to fly by so quickly and I am still worn out from the packing, driving, unpacking, laundry, etc. I am looking forward to a nice swim in the pool tonight to help wind down.

In the meantime, I leave you with some photos of the facilities and the family:

A family reunion at a winery, and you're pregnant. Oh, the inhumanity!

They need to come up with some sort of wine substitute for their pregnant visitors so you could have a nice glass to go along with that gorgeous scenery!

Cool! I have an aunt that lives in Desloge, MO, which is very close to Farmington. I love the countryside up there and all the rolling hills.
