Family Updates

Many of you have asked about Tyler and his wasp sting. He's doing well and never did cry a bit over it. As it turns out, (thanks Mo) I did a good thing by putting him in a hot bath because it helps to neutralize the venom from a sting. Regardless I still think he's an awesomely brave boy due to the fact that he didn't cry. I'm certain that there is probably a nest on their swing set somewhere. Unfortunately Daddy hasn't gotten back out there to check and this is definitely NOT a job I'm up for tackling!

As for myself, I'm feeling better. I still have some soreness in my belly but the pressure is not as bad as it was on Friday. I guess even though the doctor was a jerk, he did know what he was talking about. Although I hate to admit it here. *grin* The pain in my chest is mostly gone. Although I am not exactly sure that his diagnosis was completely on the mark, I'm sure that things are okay and there is no need to visit the ER or my OBGYN before my scheduled visit on Wednesday.

I just want to say thank you all for your concerns, e-mails, and wonderful comments. It means a lot.

Thanks, Kim & Mags. Your concern means a lot to me, really!

Bee, I didn't have to pay anything then. I know that with my doctor, everything is billed globally (all together) after the baby is born. I might get a bill in the mail from him. I can guarantee you that I won't be happy when I have to pay it, but he'll be laughing all the way to the bank won't he?! *sigh*

We don't have red wasps like that here - they look like the wasp-version of fire ants! Our paper wasps are yellow and black, and are often confused with yellow jackets.
But paper wasps build those visible easily-seen cell-nests hanging down under overhangs, whereas yellow jackets almost always nest in the ground.
Either way, you leave that wasp-tackling job to Brien!
