Valentine's Day is NOT just for lovers!

Today hubby called me at work and asked if he thought that Shelby (our five year old daughter) could get valentines roses at daycare. I told him that I was sure that she could. He called to verify and indeed she could. So, I'm assuming that he was getting my gift taken care of today. I could really care less about the flowers, I just hope that he doesn't forget my chocolate covered strawberries! That is something that I look forward to every single Valentine's Day. I don't know if he is sending Shelby flowers or not. I reminded him that he does have a son in daycare who would probably not understand why Shelby had something delivered to her and he did not. He began to rethink his idea. So, we'll see what he comes up with on Thursday. I gently reminded him that two weeks ago when we we visited Wal-Mart without the kiddos we bought them Valentine's including toys, make up, books, candy, etc. But, it was up to him if he wanted to do more for them. He had forgotten that we'd already gotten them something. This time of year it sure is nice to have a good florist in your speed dial, especially if you are a man. If you don't you might want to give 1800flowers.com a try.

You should get extra strawberries this year. You're eating for two.

You guys are generous~ or I'm cheap... I got the kids chapstick, a sucker and gum, well, the gum was free, but it will be a special treat that I will actually say yes when they ask for a piece. Sounds like you guys are lovin the day!

I don't remember getting ANYTHING from my parents for Valentines Day when I was little... other than the cards to give out at school...

I'm with Mags: hope you get TWICE the # of chocolate-dipped strawberries this year! (Your hubby certainly is a sweetie!)

My husband buys Micheyla a flower if he gets me them, and a slightly larger box of chocolates than we give the boys, and the boys understand as we told them, Valentine's means a little more to the girls. They are learning from daddy how to take care of their future wives we hope.

I'll be sending Kaitlin a nice small spring arrangement to school Thursday. Spring flowers are our favorite.
