Weather

Right about now, I sure do wish I was in Malibu. No, not at one of those fancy drug treatment centers, but perhaps sitting on the beach somewhere sipping something cold and fruity. I am really ready for spring. Actually I am more ready for summer, but for now spring will do. I'm getting the winter blues. I am tired of being cooped up in the house. I'm tired of having to bundle up every day before I leave and what's worse...bundling the kids up only for Shelby to cry that she wants to remove her layers when she gets in the vehicle because she is HOT. I'm ready for flip flops and capris! *Sigh* It is coming isn't it?! Spring will be here before we know it, right?

It was 1 degree here this morning.

I like snow, but 20's-30's would be better. Cheers!!

I was just saying today that I am SO ready for spring! It was 40 degrees and raining today. YUCK! I'd rather have snow than that!

I am right there with ya- I am SOOO ready for spring. This cold white stuff is pretty and all, but I have taken pictures- now it can go away.

We're actually UP into the 20's today! Warmest it's been in a week - and I saw a guy walking down the sidewalk in SHORTS!
Dude this is not a heat wave!

It could stay winter here and I'd be perfectly happy.

Winter = no spiders.

Spring is definitely on the way we have Crocus, snowdrops and daffodils here!

It's snowing here today but hopefully not enough to warrant shoveling but I did notice last evening that it wasn't as dark at 5:30 as it was in the past so that must mean that spring is on it's way. Right? Oh please tell me I'm right because I can't stand much more of this cold weather!!

Even though it's been FREEZING here, I saw teeny-tiney little buds on our Dogwood trees. It's coming, it's coming!

I am so done with the snow and cold, but I can't skip spring, I want to plant some flowers and a garden this year now that I have a chance, then we can have summer.
I may even buy flip-flops for the yard this summer. I know I can't go barefoot all the time anymore...age it does things to you.
Happy Monday,
Mama Bear

I'm originally from So Cal and all my family is still there. Sometimes, like when I drive to work in -5 degree whether I envy their warm existence!
Just keep thinking warm thoughts. Feb 2 is groundhogs day - hope for a cloudy day so that little guy can frolic and play and allow us only 6 more weeks!
