Let the fun begin!?

This morning since Tyler didn't sleep very well last night and Shelby vomited all over her blanket after a five minute coughing spell I thought maybe I should call the doctor. As we were getting dressed, the clouds opened up and the day's events began to unfold. It is always fun loading and unloading two children in the rain. You know they can't walk because A.) they will fall and you'll either have to take them in and redress them or listen to them whine about being wet until they dry or B.)they will take so long getting to the vehicle that you're a complete drowned rat by the time you get to your vehicle. Either way, it's just better to carry them one by one. We had a 10 AM appt. We left the house in plenty of time to get there. We were there fifteen minutes early, so there was no rush. We walked into the office and there was a rug right as you walk into the door. I walked in and as soon as I stepped off the rug onto the tiled floor, I felt my feet fly right out from underneath me! The bad part about it was that I was carrying my youngest, Tyler. I just remember looking up and there were lots of people standing around me. Tyler was screaming. People were asking if I was okay. I just said let me check on him. I'm more worried about him right now.

I think he was just scared because at this point he was sitting on top of me and I was lying on the flat of my back. He does have a small bruise on his cheek. I'm pretty sure his cheek hit my chin. I did finally get up and I must admit that I was pretty embarrassed by this time. Everyone kept asking me if I was okay. I felt fine...that is UNTIL I left the office. Tonight I'm pretty dang sore! My neck is really bothering me. I guess I tensed up so bad when I began to fall because I was worried about Tyler getting hurt that the muscles in my neck are really bothering me. My back is hurting a bit too. The massive headache has eased up a bit. I think my head took a big brunt of the fall as well.
But, my pride I guess is what hurt the most.

The end verdict is that both kids have colds. Shelby is more in her chest and Tyler in his head. But, we've got antibiotics for both of them.

What a way to begin my vacation! *Sigh*

Oh no! How awful!

One of my biggest fears when carrying Erica up and down stairs is that I'm gonna fall with her.

I'm glad he wasn't hurt too bad; but I hope your aches go away soon! Its never fun to be sore

Hope Shelby and Tyler are feeling better. Don't you just hate to start a vacation this way... but at least you're not having to deal with the Crazy Bitch Lady...

Oh no! Sounds like something that would totally happen to me... I hope you're feeling better soon and that the kids are too so that you can avoid any more trips to the doctor's office! :)

Well, it's no way to start a vacation, but when you have kids it's typical. I hope things straighten out soon. Feel better. :)

Oh crikey, glad you hear you didn't break anything - that could have been really, really nasty.

Don't you there is a direct correlation between the number of people are present to how crappy our day starts? I'm sorry you vacation started out so horribly.

Take care!
