Now that I have your attention, I want to tell you about something near and dear to my heart. The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. My husband's grandmother was diagnosed with this horrible disease in the final stages of her life. I watched this disease turn a wonderful, brilliant, vibrant lady into something that she was not. It was difficult to see my mother in law watch her mom, the lady whom she'd always thought so highly of, the lady whom she had relied on so much of her life quickly deteriorate. Alzheimer's is a horrible disease and with your help, funds can be raised to for research. Team captains are needed for this year's walk. If you would be interested in being a team captain, you can select a walk near you. Once you register online you will have access to your very own Web site that you can use as your fund raising headquarters. As a team Captain if you raise $500 before November 30, you will be eligible to win a trip to Vegas! Every additional $500 you raise will make you eligible again. So, in addition to raising money for a great cause, you could win a nice little getaway for yourself!
