Weekend Wrap Up

Well, its' almost over...the weekend that is. Saturday my sister and I took our kiddos, and our niece to the lake. We had a fun time, but I forgot to put sunscreen on myself. I am quite lobster like on my face and shoulders. I am using the Badger Balm that I got from The Wren's Nest to soothe the burn. So far it's really helped. I don't know if it will keep me from peeling on my face, though. It's burned pretty bad. Thank goodness we lathered up the kiddos well enough that they are not burnt. Shelby has a bit of red on her cheeks, but it'll probably be gone by tomorrow. Anyhow, we had a great time and it was nice to get out of the house and spend a bit of time with my sister. We don't do enough of that anymore!
Today we just hung around the house most of the day. Shelby went to her Vacation Bible School graduation program. It was cute and she got to bring home all of the crafts she made throughout the week. She did the same thing she did last year, though. She would NOT go on stage and do the songs with the rest of the kids. All of the teachers from the church came to us later and said that she got up on stage all week and was so enjoyable to watch. But, she gets performance anxiety when it comes to a room full of parents. She thinks that everyone is watching her! The funny thing is that we had to pull Tyler off the stage. He wasn't part of the festivities because he's too small. He sure wanted to play with the rest of the kids. One of the ladies gave him a small flashlight and he pretended to spotlight the kids on stage and he stood in the aisle and shook his little butt while he watched the rest of the kids. He was quite a sight to see!!
Hope you all had a nice weekend. I'm off to bed now.
See you all tomorrow for Manic Monday!!

That's adorable! They sure have different personalities! My girls were quite the performers but my son would sit or stand on stage with his arms crossed and wouldn't participate at all. He wound up being a rock drummer! Who knew???

I'm amazed that Shelby, who seems so extroverted, has performance anxiety!
But what a cute post!
Hope the Badger Balm helps! (I love that stuff!!!)
