Manic Monday #18
I've been very fortunate in my life to have made lots of friends. My younger sister, Mandy is someone who I consider to be one of my best friends. We did fight A LOT when we were younger. I can remember pushing her one time so hard that we put a hole in the wall and broke a stereo. I could talk bad about her all day long, but you'd better keep your mouth shut about her, or the heat would be on! My sister has gone through some really tough times in her personal life the past two years, and I feel like I haven't been there for her like I should or could have been had she let me. I understand her reasons, though. I repsect her and I hope that she always knows that she is my oldest and dearest BFF! :)
I also have a BFF that has been there for me through lots of ups and downs in my life. Becca has been my friend for 17 years (I hope I got that right, Bec). I posted a lenghthy birthday tribute for her back in December. Becca is the true definition of a friend. She is honset, fun, & outspoken. I love her, my kids love her, and I could not ask for more in a friend...well unless she'd move back to Arkansas. ;)
My other Best Friend is my husband. Brien is my world. He's been by my side for 13 years now. He knows me and he still loves me. Who could ask for more? He is my rock. He's been there for me since day one. He is more than I could ever ask for. My husband is the greatest man in the whole wide world. He is the shoulder I lean on, the chest I lie on, the strong hand that supports me, the arms I run to, and the heart that beats with mine! I love Brien with all of my heart and soul and I could not imagine my life without him, EVER!
I have also made lots of blogging friends. I am so lucky to have met such great people in the blogosphere. By blogging we open ourselves to the world. I feel like no matter what I say, I always get positive feedback from you, my friends! Thank you for that. Friendship to me is something that I take seriously. Friendship is something that you cherish. It is, however a two way street. It is 100%. Both sides have to give 100 percent 100 percent of the time. That is the recipe for a good, lasting friendship. I hope that some of you feel like you can also call me your friend!
