Moms For Modesty - Let Your Voice Be Heard!

Moms for Modesty Mission Statement:
As a Mom for Modesty I believe in common-sense modesty for girls and young women.
I believe in refraining from sexualizing our girls and young women.
I believe that it is unwise and unfair to taunt boys and young men by permitting my daughter to dress in an immodest manner.
I believe that true beauty comes from within and I strive to teach my daughter this truth.
I will loyally shop at retailers that provide girls' and young womens clothing that is modest, affordable and stylish.

Good for you!!! As a grandmother, it breaks my heart to see these little girls who aren't allowed to be children.
I hope moms such as you will spread the word and that this will catch on. Too many young women, without much guidance, think it's just too cute to play dress-up with these babies. I saw some awful site on the internet with clothing for babies that had F*U and other obscenities on it. How God must weep...

Excellent post! i totally agree with you. I am still horrified when i see little girls dressed up as mini versions of their mums. Also when i see bras and thongs on sale for children! why would any parent want their child to grow up to soon.

I totally concur with this! Who was the idiot decided that girls should dress like ho-bags all the time? Kids should dress like kids and be kids while they can - life goes by too fast as it is!

Good for you! My wife hammers our girls into the ground if she something she doesn't approve of! LOL! Not really ALL the way into the ground, but they have no doubt that it's not acceptable.

As the father of three pretty daughters I had to start my own club. I call it the, "If you touch my daughter I will stomp your guts out" club. hehehe

Good on you, I feel exactly the same. being a mother of 2 girls can at time test all reserves, especially as they get older so the use of negotiation skills is needed at times to outway peer pressure x x

PS Gene, my partner has the same philosophy! Not sure if it's usefull but it makes him feel better!

I absolutely agree. I can not stand to see little kids dressed in sexy clothes. It also burns my but to see some of the commercials they show during primetime. UGH!
