Me & My Man

Since the hubby is outta town hunting and I am a deer widow, I've found someone to slide in his place while he's gone. Tee hee hee...some of you are thinking, man I'm glad I stumbled upon this blog. How scandalous this chick is! But, before you read too much into this, my man is not a new man in my life. Well, I guess for me to call him a man is a bit of a stretch. He isn't quite a man. I like to call him a man, all be it a little man he is. My 15 month old son is quite a little man. My daughter is having a sleep over at Granny's house so it's just me and the little man tonight. We had so much fun. It's amazing how his little personality has developed over the last 15 months. He's so witty and funny. He reminds me so much of his father. He will do anything he can to make you laugh. He'll stand on his head if he knows it'll get a laugh or even a smile out of someone. It's the most amazing thing. I just can't believe that he is as big as what he is. I mean, I just sat there tonight and stared at him as he played and danced with me. Remembering when I rocked him to sleep those wee hours after he was born wondering how he would be. Thinking of this very day when we would stand in the living room crazily dancing around as a silly song played on television. Listening to his captivating little giggle. Mesmerized at the fact that he thinks that I am so amazing, only wishing that I could capture this moment and keep it forever. He really enjoyed having mommy all to himself, and I must admit it was quite nice having my little man all to myself. So, now that I have him sleeping in his own bed, my dilemma...should I go get him and cuddle with him in my bed or let him sleep in his crib and curl up in my king sized bed with his monitor at my pillow and listen to his sweet little breath as I drift off to sleep? Sleep little man, sleep!!

I always enjoyed my kids when they were that age. I tell everyone that has kids to do so too. It's the age where they discover everything. And you get to watch them do it. What joy. Glad you are enjoying your son's growing.
