Due to circumstances beyond my control (his family) he ended up having to go help fix a flat, so I waited around and waited around on him and after a couple of hours, and 8 o'clock rolled around, I figured I'd better get on to wal-mart and back. So, I guess no sooner than I pulled out he must've pulled in. So, yay...in the rain I get to take both kids to wal-mart and try to get groceries. Here are the only two good things that I am going to say in this post: I got rock star parking (hello, there are tornadoes and storms all around us), and there weren't many folks to fight in the aisles!
I did luck out in the fact that when we left, the kids had both just waken up from naps, so they were both in good moods.
I got my groceries in fairly good time. The, I kid you not I picked the slowest person on god's creation to check me out. I am SO not exagerating in this when I tell you that I think it took her as long or if not longer to check me out than it did for me to pick out all of my groceries. Then ya know they put them on the circle of bags. They will not load them into your cart for you! Oh, no...if she would've done that I would STILL be there. She also loaded those bags to the gills. Not because I wasn't keeping up with her and keeping empty bags for her, either. She filled up one sack with 14 cans! she also put 20 jars of baby food in the same bag! It was horrid. I wanted to pull my hair out by the time she got me checked out. I did see a supervisor on my way out and told her that I didn't think that she could find anyone slower if she hired from a nursing home and that she was like watching paint dry!!!
Anyhow, the time has changed here and now it's 10:42 but it actually feels like 9:42. Why in the hell do we still have to do this. I can understand why this whole thing came about...but I really don't think there is any need in torturing our bodies the way we do with it now!! I mean, come on, by the time we all get used to this change, it'll be time to change it back. You should've seen me fighting my oldest daughter to get her to bed tonight. She kept saying, BUT, I'm not tired!! Normally I don't believe her. But, tonight I could sympathize with her. In the morning, none of us will want to get outta bed!!
I'm going to hit the hay now and hope for a better day tomorrow!
