I want a Pathfinder!!

So, my truck was in the shop getting the bumper fixed from where the guy turned in front of me a few weeks ago. I got to rent a vehicle from Enterprise. Yes, they picked me up!

Well, they were going to put me in a car. I do not like cars. I drive an extended cab Dodge Ram. I cannot drive a car. Well, he said we can put you in that Nissan Pathfinder out there if you want to pay the $6 difference. I thought for $6 I'd bite!

So, I get in this thing and I am immediately in love with it. I wanted to pass by my work that day and just go joy riding in it. It had a sunroof, third row seating, controls to the radio in the steering wheel, bose radio systems, etc. You name it, this thing had it! I loved it. I didn't fall in love with the "bronze" color. But, I could've lived with it. Anyhow, I was hoping that my truck wouldn't be ready yesterday 'cause I was enjoying driving around so much.
Now, I am trying to talk my husband into letting me go shopping.
Mother's Day is coming up and I think a new Nissan Pathfinder would be a wonderful gift for mommy! Heh heh
I got my truck 3 months before my daughter was born, so I think I should get a new vehicle before my little boy is born! I just have to keep my father in law away from it (he wrecked my truck before the first payment was even made on it...nearly totaling it).

So, anybody own one of these things...please tell me something BAD about them so I won't want one so bad!

I just checked on Consumer Reports and it did VERY well in crash tests. The hard thing for me is that gas is 15 (city) or 21 (highway). That's rough with gas prices what they are. Depreciation is better on your truck when you compare them side-by-side. However, I couldn't find much more on the Pathfinder.

I think the Nissan Xtera is nicer and last time I looked they were cheaper. We bought a Nissan Xtera (years ago mind you) but when we test drove the Pathfinder and compared it to the Xtera the Xtera had more room and was a better ride. The Pathfinder was just not as "roomy". Also, my friend had one and his wifes crazy ex-husband shoot the back end of his out with a 12-gauge.. they do not stand up well to buckshot. Just a point to be brought up.
