Today was a VERY windy day. I am not exaggerating either. Winds gusted up to 35mph!
It was pretty cold.

Shelby and I went to see my momma. It was nice to spend time with her and my brother and his girlfriend. It had been a while (since Christmas) since I got to see 'em. I always love spending time with mom. No matter how long I have been moved away from home...actually I never lived in the home that she now lives. But, it will always feel like home when I am there. It is always relaxing and nice to hang out with her. We like to first catch up on all of the latest gossip within the family and community and then we talk about Shelby and how silly she is. But, it is just nice to sit with mom and not even talk. Just to know that we have such a great bond that can never be broken. She is my momma. I am a mommy now and I know how strong that is! I know how you would give your own life for your children.

I watched a special 48 hours tonight about the stand off in Russia where the hostages took 1200 children, parents, & teachers as hostages. They negotiated and let the mothers with babies out of the building. But, they couldn't take their older children with them. Many mothers (I think 12) left the building with their babies while leaving older children behind. I just cried and cried thinking that they had to choose between their babies!! That would be the most horrible thing in the world to know that you had to leave one of your children with terrorists to get another one to safety. They had nothing to eat or drink in over 48 hours. One mother sent her infant out with the negotiator because she could not leave her child. I pray that I never have to make that decision but I can't say what I would do in that situation! It would be terrible!! I just can't imagine.
